Happy Thursday Everyone! We have almost made it through yet another week, so be sure to give yourself a pat on the back! It’s been a minute since I've posted about an OOTD, and I feel this is long overdue. These photos were taken a few days ago when one could say I was in a bit of a colorful mood. With it being spring now and summer quickly approaching, I felt like it was necessary to begin incorporating a little more color into my style. As you all may have already noticed, I absolutely LOVE wearing blazers. I am almost 100% sure that they are my most worn type of clothing. I decided to pair the blazer with some pink denim pants to add a pop of color, and then with the floral tank to tie it all together. Hello people, long time no see! I wanted to do a little mini-series where I show my favorite trends for the current season and how you can style them. Todays trend includes the ever so popular crop tops and the obvious floral patterns. These two things have been hot on the runway recently and they scream HELLO SPRING, GET READY SUMMER!

One Chic Look, 2 Ways!

Happy Monday people!!! Ever had one of those mornings where you couldn't pick between two different looks? Well I definitely had one of those days this morning, leading to this post. I wasn't going anywhere fancy but I still wanted to feel cute. My style is usually a simple pair of jeans, shorts or a skirt paired with a shirt, cardigan or blazer that will make my outfit pop! I couldn't decide if I wanted to look like I tried a little harder or if I wanted to seem more relaxed. In the end, I ended up trying a little harder, going with the blazer and turban. I still think the denim jacket and beanie is super cute too! My favorite part of this outfit would have to be the ankle boots. I got them from Urban Outfitters for only $20 when they were regularly $70! Talk about a deal!  A good sale can make almost anything seem cute haha! My Top 5 Best Dressed from the Oscars!

WOMEN:

My all-time favorite look of the night has to be Lupita Nyong'o. She looked absolutely stunning in her Nairobian blue Prada dress. It went flawlessly with her skin tone, and the head band just topped it all off.

Jennifer Lawrence also looked flawless as usual in her red Dior Couture dress. I loved that she kpet it simple with the makeup and accessories  and also her simple pulled back hair. The dress fit her like a glove and she let her dress and body be the big statement last night.

Idina Menzel also looked gorgeous in her green Vera Wang gown. The color looks simply beautiful on her and the jewelry was perfect as well.

Maria Menounos looked stunning in her Johanna Johnson dress, and was probably my 2nd favorite look of the night. The dress was just so beautiful and her hair, makeup and accessories went along with it perfectly.

Last but not least for the female category, Sandra Bullock looked amazing in her gorgeous Alexander McQueen gown. The fabric and color of the hair is so stunning and the loosely curled hair swooped to the side tops it all of

 MEN:

Black and white was definitely the thing for men at the Oscars last night and these are my top 5

My favorite male look of the night was Michael B Jordan. My views may be a little biased because i absolutely LOVE him and think he is extremely gorgeous (he's secretly my husband! lol), but you cannot deny that he looked insanely handsome last night in his Givenchy tuxedo. His shoes went with this look really well and his amazing smile finished the look!

Pharell Williams was a dare devil with his Lanvin shorts tuxedo. He is always taking fashion risk, from the Arby's hat to this and I always enjoy every second of it. Gotta love someone who isn't afraid to be different!

Matthew McConaughey looked very handsome and classy in his Dolce & Gabbana tux and stepping a little out of the box wearing an off-white/cream tux instead of black. 

Jared Leto also went a little out of the box going with an off white coat for his tux. The red bow tie really set his look off as well. I was really loving the white & black vs black & white look last night.

Lastly in the male category, Bradley Cooper looked awesome in Tom Ford tux. Going with the classic black and white look was the perfect move for him.

Denim on Denim!

Hi guys! I recently went on a few week hiatus but now I'm back, and I have so many new post ideas that I'm ready to put into action! But for now, lets focus on this outfit. I'm a little late on the trend but I've really been loving the denim on denim look lately. To be honest, when this trend first came back around I wasn't really feeling it, but now i love it! This outfit is cute and simple but still makes a fashion statement. I think my favorite part about this outfit is my headscarf! This is my go to move for when Im being lazy and don't feel like doing my hair, or i just don't have time. Not only is it super easy and convenient but its also super chic! :)

BORED TO DEATH?

Happy Friday everyone, we all have made it through yet another week! I had a pretty fun day today that included going to brunch with my one of my favorite cousins. We went to one of my favorite places in the entire world...*drum roll*...METRO DINER! I got their famous Chicken & Waffles and let me tell you, it was literally heaven on a plate lol. I had to wake up pretty early this morning, so I kind of woke up in a rush. I had to throw something cute together really quick because i wanted to get as much sleep as possible haha. I wasn't really going for anything particular with this look. I just wanted to wear something simple and cute, from my make up (barely any) to my outfit. Sometimes less is more and you can feel your best in something simple. Without getting too deep, I feel like this shirt says so much without really saying anything at all. BORED TO DEATH. What are you bored with? For me, being over the top all the time can get boring, explaining why my style is usually pretty laid back. Simplicity can be super intriguing and fashionable too. If just plain old black & white is too bland for your taste, something as simple as a denim jacket can spice up your look! Sunday Street Style ✌

Happy Sunday everyone! So today I spent my morning/early afternoon in church as I do usually every Sunday. When I woke up this morning in no way was I in the mood to dress up. I tend to feel like that a lot, but especially today because i was super tired. To make myself look like I had some spunk in me, I decided to go for a pretty edgy look. To add the edge i added some winged eyeliner and a leather jacket. I kind of feel like a leather jacket can make almost anything look edgy! I didn't want to look too dark and mysterious with all black on in church (lol) so I decided to tie a plaid shirt around my waist and add some gold accessories.
